Mrs William H Rogers longtime Alma resident died at her home Tuesday night after a seven weeks illness from pneumonia. She was 62. Survivors include her husband, two children Mable Jennings of Ionia and Harry S Rogers of Alma, plus a sister Mrs Daniel Goggin. Funeral to be held Friday at 2:00 PM from the Episcopal church conducted by Rev Davis.

Fire Destroyed Frame Building in Alma Tuesday Night
Firefighters were called to the home of BE Frank MacCallumMohr near Fly street and Grover avenue around midnight Tuesday. A frame building under renovation was totally destroyed and MacCallumMohr’s nearby residence suffered heavy fire damage. Officials believe the blaze started in the structure being converted into a dwelling. The American Legion meeting notice appears at the end of the report.
