A five year old boy Vaughn, abandoned by Newark township parents about a year earlier, was adopted by the Davis family of Montcalm county near Vestabarg. On Wednesday a man named Vaughn drove to Vestabarg, took the boy in a buggy, and fled. Neighbors notified Mr. Davie who reported to Alma's officers. No word has been received from either party at press time.
