Reports from a village meeting recount the selection of a ticket for village elections, names of nominees for president clerk treasurer and trustees, and a later revelation that caucus notices violated law. A Saturday citizens caucus recomposed nominations, revealing a split favoring two tickets.
Alma College plans a debate between Albion and Alma on March 19 at the Alma opera house. The sixteenth annual Gratiot County Sunday School Association convention met at the Presbyterian church with J. A. Sabin presiding. Rev. Wooton and Rev. Spencer delivered welcome and temperance papers, and sessions featured lessons on Bible use, mission work, and teacher calling. Officers elected were J. B. Sabins president, Wm. Foster secretary, and I. S. Seaver treasurer.
