Mrs. Sylvia Gaffney returned last Friday from a several weeks visit in Alhambra California and other western points. She was guest of her sister and son John who reported him improved in health. Obituary notices report Charles Stafford of Ithaca born November 15 1842 in Lenawee County Michigan died February 15 1914 at 71 in Ithaca after cancer. He leaves a wife two sisters and four children with funeral in Ithaca Baptist church February 17. Also Hiram Brady born August 22 1826 in Satulusky Ohio married Louisa Wool July 23 1850 had eight children. He died February 16 1914 aged 87 in Carrollton Michigan with funeral conducted by Reverend Duriey and buried in Brady cemetery.

Remains of E A Ryerson buried in Alma
The remains of E A Ryerson who died in Belding Tuesday were brought to Alma for burial. Ryerson, once an Alma mill worker, is survived by a wife who had been critically ill. A Baptist church member, he was laid to rest with Rev J W Priest officiating at the graveside.
