A movement in Ashley seeks to establish a Catholic church to serve a rising immigrant population from Austria and other foreigners. A. The High School juniors hosted their first Washington banquet for junior girls and faculty at Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Kress’s West Superior Street home. Fire destroys McNabb farm home near Ithaca
A Saturday evening blaze consumed the home of Mr and Mrs George McNabb three miles from Ithaca. The old house with furnace and modern conveniences burned quickly, with losses estimated at 1500 to 2000 dollars and only 500 dollars of insurance. The family and neighbors could not escape the fire, and McNabb daily are temporarily housed nearby.
