Disease of honey bees alerts Gratiot county
The U S Department of Agriculture warns that American foul brood disease has been found in Gratiot county. The department cannot yet determine how long the disease has existed in the region and advises beekeepers to inform themselves. Farmers Hatletin No 445, The Treatment of Bee Diseases, explains broad diseases and treatments and can be requested free from the Secretary of Agriculture. The disease does not affect honey for human consumption.
