Ninety Year Old Kinch Still Cobbles Shoes at 90
Mr W R Kinch celebrated his ninetieth birthday at his granddaughter’s Prospect Avenue home. A native of New York state, he came to Michigan in 186% and settled in Tacky County. Since 1885 he has run a shoe and repair business and still cobbles shoes, claiming to do as good a job as any cobbler in the state. He has cared for himself since age thirteen and recalls Alma as a frontier settlement that has since grown.
