Death by own action shocks Flint-Saginaw area
Former St. Louis resident and Flint mill worker H Doane, 18 month old child in cradle nearby, died by self-inflicted gunshot at his Flint home on Saturday January 7. He left his job and had shown signs of distress after a prior accident in which he suffered a severe head injury. Relatives described him as ambitious and studious. Funeral conducted in Alma after body brought from Saginaw. parents J W Doane and Mrs Doane now reside in Mt Pleasant.
