Elizah H. Travis Pioneer Dies in Gratiot County
Obituary notes Elizah H. Travis a Michigan settler born October 28 1845 in Oswego New York. A lifelong farmer and Republican Presbyterian, he lived in Pine River and later in the village where he died after a long illness. Surviving are his wife Hester A. Baker, a son and two grandchildren. Funeral at Presbyterian church conducted by Rev. W K Spencer with burial in Riverside cemetery.
