The Northwestern Miller highlights Alma Roller Mills Alma Mich owned by A W Wright & Co with Willian Reed as head miller and manager Wright described as a prominent lumberman banker and capitalist born in Clifton VI July and advancing Alma from pine lands to a flour mill center in Michigan Reed born 1862 in Bruce Ontario began milling in Eden Ontario in 1875 and joined Alma in 1881 rising to manager in 1882 noted for running a neat mill and selling well in local eastern markets.

The death of R G Horr occurred Friday night December eighteenth after a two week illness. He was born November 26, 1830 in Waitsville, VI, trained as a lawyer, practiced in Ohio and Missouri, then served as a Republican congressman from 1878. He later joined the New York Tribune editorial staff and spoke widely for gold Republicans. Mrs Rorer ends Household News. its pages move exclusively to The Ladies Home Journal with new domestic series.
