In Elias's Saloon Ralph Mallory is killed by Melvin Follick after a long standing grievance. Authorities report the feud led to the fatal stabbing during a brawl. Follick is in custody as the case moves to the county court.
Mallory a farmer in Seville faces a $1,000 bond on a charge of assault with intent to kill after a Saturday afternoon dispute at a State Street saloon. The victim, Edgar Follick, was knocked unconscious and remained in care through Sunday, with police seeking Mallory who is jailed under Judge Spinney’s bond terms. Follick’s condition is serious, doctors noting possible brain concussion and reports say his recovery may be uncertain.
The committee reports at last regular convocation on the death of Companion F Prowch. He served Verst veil as master and was faithful and efficient in duties. The record expresses sorrow and deepest sympathy to his relatives and children.

He warns of prosperity early in August followed by a major commercial collapse, earthquakes in the United States Japan and Russia, railroad wrecks and a looming conflict culminating in a global war. He cites Beadley’s comet as a sign of upheaval and says President Roosevelt faces assassination risk.
Mary D of 1 lest wed John Kirby in a home ceremony attended by fifty guests. The bride wore a white gown with Grace Kirby as maid of honor and Tex Best as groom’s attendant. After a supper the couple departed to their new home at 729 Pine Avenue, Alms, Cc.
T Swigart and son Ray returned from a two week trip visiting Jamestown Fortress Monroe and Mt Vernon along with Virginia landmarks. They rode trains from Alma to Detroit via Ann Arbor Cincinnati Kentucky and Richmond detailing expositions tours and historical sites. They toured Cape Henry Washingtons mansion and the battleship Brooklyn viewing modern naval exhibits before continuing to Baltimore Buffalo and Detroit with a crowded fort berth on the way home.

Sumner Grange met at Maccabet hall Saturday evening with 42 officers and 14 members present. Visitors included Brother and Sister Clark of Arcaca Grange. Minutes read and approved. Hattie Hates obligated in two degrees after favorable report by committee Sea mus, Kueler, and Church. Communications read. Picnic invitation to Crystal declined. Coal price inquiries authorized. Ten dollars received from Gratiot Pomona to aid in fire protection. Lee Cream social proceeds $6.50 turned over to Treasurer. Literary program featured Pair Song and recitations. Roll call sparked vacation trip and housekeeping experiences with some humor. Debate questions on weed law and wages. Breeekos of Reaina read by Sister Kaeer. Grange closed with Work for the Night. Lecturer offered questions for debate on marketing methods, lawn upkeep, and workload responsibilities.

He notes newspapers excel in auto advertising and that the trend has been echoed by leading American car makers. The year has been phenomenally successful for automobiles thanks to newspaper ads. Detroit Journal quotes him praising the medium.
Justice Chadwick's court postponed the William Allen et al case to Sept 6 and Atmos Pratt's examination to Sept 5. Spinney's court discussed Hugh Johnson and Maud Nelson cases. August Gravee paid a 5.75 fine after a drunken brawl at Herron's saloon and release. Mike Franchette caused a disturbance in Win Webb's bakery after drinking. fined 5.75 and released.
