Mrs. Margaret Jane Reid widow of Thomas Reid of Alma died Saturday night at Stonybook Maem in Weare New Hampshire after months of illness. She survived by three children, Adelin Reid, Mrs Frank Knox, and Frank A. Reid, plus two grandchildren. She had lived much of her life in Alma and once farmed near Alma before moving to Box Elder Montana to homestead wheat, then to New Hampshire with her family last year to join her daughter on Knox Farm.

Wood Shafer Reunion At Pleasant Farm Home
The annual Wood and Shafer reunion was held at the pleasant farm home of Mr and Mrs K Edwards of Alma on Thursday August 17. Attendees included Lydia Barnum Hastings Earl Wood Owosso Harvey Wood Midland and Mrs Lloyd Miner Flint. Fifty six members attended dinner in the shade with ample justice. Hilas Kenyon was elected President for the ensuing year Helen Wood secretary and treasurer. An afternoon program featured music recitations and readings with several performances by local members. The next meeting place was undecided but reunions will continue with pledges to attend.
