Electric line accident claims life of Frank Rhodes
Frank Rhodes, 24, of Alam, was electrocuted at 4 PM while working on a West Main Street line for Minion Telephone Company. Lineman Frank Webb tried to pull him away but Rhodes died on the ground. Born in Alam, he lived here most of his life. Funeral was Sunday at 3 PM at his father William Rhodes’s residence with Rev. Harwood officiating.

A 16 year old chauffeur drove the car which skidded on a clay road into a ditch. Both women were taken to local offices for treatment and wrist injuries were noted.
