The City of Alma will be christened at Alexandria Virginia in the near future by order of the L A Shipping Board. Governor Sleeper may attend. Alma to host bio piggery under stock food contract

Alma will grant The American Stock Food company of Grand Rapids a ten year contract to establish a bio piggery just outside the city. The deal covers garbage disposal for ten years from Sept 1 1910 with collections twice weekly from homes and six times weekly from hotels and businesses. Pigs will be kept off ground in a three story tower and fed on rest material while the company posts a $2000 annual bond for faithful performance and city protection against neglect.

Alma Host to New Standard Oil Plant and County Picnic
