George M Rupert of Fulton township sues John Gunderman for 5000 damages alleging alienation of his wife's affections and also seeks to reclaim eighty acres from his wife. He seeks a restraining order on his wife’s $30 bank deposit. Rupert’s maiden name Currie Fox. Mrs Rupert counters with defense, while local lawyers and Judge Everden oversee the high stakes case expected to be hard fought.
Alma Lodge No. 2s installs officers for the term including W. E. Wilson and KE Hanson with other named officers. Alma Encampment No. 62 also installs officers led by Harry Clark and A Baker, followed by Superior Rebekah Lodge No. 101 officers Georgie Chadwick and Mary Thomas. V. G. roles pending installation. outside guard yet to be elected.

Kosciusko county Indiana circuit court awarded Northern Indians $2285 in a suit against William Duval for fifteen years of subscriptions. Duval admitted ordering the paper and taking it from the post office until December 1807 while stating he did not intend to pay. He produced only a four month receipt when testifying. The ruling holds that taking the paper from the post office constitutes receiving property and obligates payment. Costs totaled $50. The decision signals stronger collection action against nonpayers.
