In village meetings moderator W Holmes presented five site options including Garrett block, Lancashire block, Abba property, Pollasky property, and the present school house. Ballots favored the Pollasky property in the Whetheastern part of town for a new school site and potential village park area beyond. The August issue of The Woman's Home Companion and The Cosmopolitan are noted for their August content. An Excursion by the Ann Arbor RR advertised trips to Mt Pleasant and Owosso for Forepaugh Circus. A new Bahilke block jewelry store run by A P Losey moved into a larger space with updated fixtures and a fine china and cut glass assortment.

The Arcada township Sunday School convention held at the Ely school house drew a large attendance with delegates from nearly all schools. Highlights included talks on Christianity, practical religion, and the ideal superintendent by Chas A Murphy and Miss Laelia Crozier, plus a helpful talk on Shy Normal Work by Woo Foster. Officers elected: President Charles Burphy, Vice President Greg Marenson, Secretary Mina Boensnan, Treasurer Wen Vanterholt. The convention advanced temperance and planning for future work across Granot County.
Notice states Whereds and Mary LL Wilkot agree to live apart and that D will not be responsible for debts contracted by her after the date. Dated the 2nd day of duty 2404. Pan-American Visitors advertises first class accommodations in a home near the grounds with write for particulars and reasonable rates.
An undoubted claim of Dr A W Chase’s Nerve Pills that they revive weak constitutions is echoed by Alma residents and a Water Street customer who note improved appetite sleep and reduced headaches after using the remedy. The ad cites Buffalo dealers and urges caution to see the physician’s signature on every package while announcing a Beulah Crystal Lake excursion with special train departing Alma at 6 00 am for 1 50 round trip.
