Electric road franchise eyed from Grand Rapids to Saginaw
Alma village council last Tuesday granted A D P Prosser a franchise for an electric line through town centered on Center street. The plan routes from Grand Rapids to Saginaw via Mill Creek Plainfield Austerlitz Parnell Cannonaburg Grattan Center Ouivoo Belding Sheridan Crystal Lake Sumner Alma and then east to Saginaw. New York and London capitalists back the project with work to start in July and ope ration expected within eleven months. The line aims to carry freight and passenger traffic and Promoter Prosser has prior electric line experience between Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo.
