Mrs. Mary Grill Bauer died April 1011 at age 75 years S months and 1 day. Born August 6 1836 in Barks County Brish Valley Township Pennsylvania she married Jacob Bauer nearly 56 years ago. Survived by seven children six with the father. She joined the Christian church at Forest Hill in 1888 and remained faithful as a wife and mother hailed for her devotion.

Fire Burns Barn and Spreads to Nearby Homes
Firefighters respond to Park Avenue blaze at the Don Wilbur property. The barn is destroyed, spreading to A Eicher and G Hodgkinson residences. A valuable horse and colt owned by Ed Ewing perish in the flames. Fire crews contain the fire after about an hour. Wilbur’s loss is insured.

R C Saxton owns a Jersey cow praised as hard to beat. Last Friday Mrs Saxton skimmed three quarts of cream from four days’ milk. She churned the cream and produced five pounds of butter in two minutes, prompting the question who can beat it.

Fire Wrecks Riverdale Stores In Early Morning Blaze
Riverdale suffered a daytime fire that started at Skaff store and spread to neighboring shops including McNutt & Hendee and Houck & Son. Two suits and furnishings were saved, and the post office and Joly Yueres jewelry store were emptied. Total loss about 3000 dollars, covered largely by insurance. no wind aided spread, aiding limited protection efforts.
