Danielle Romero seven and Corey Trujillo twenty months featured as families attend last Saturdays kite-flying event in Kit Carson Park. Deborah Nason says about 30 local children participated in three judging categories: best artwork highest flight and longest flight. In 6 to 9 year group Jake Mingenbach won first Rachel Waltz second Alicia Waltz third. Chris Callagan won 3 to 5 year group. Jeremy Schultz took highest flying and Joel Schultz won longest flight.
