Primary draws swarm of candidates in Taos County race
On filing day April 3 dozens pursued county posts in a busy Taos County primary. Sixteen filed for three county commission seats and 26 for county and state positions in the June 5 election. Magistrate judge candidates numbered a dozen, including incumbent Walter Herrera. Republican Arsenio Cordova seeks district two, while the Democratic field includes Serapio Duran Jr and David Fernandez.
