Taos District pushes ahead with full-day kindergarten plan
Taos Municipal School District seeks a special grant to launch full-day kindergarten this fall under a state law allowing five years for conversion. Superintendent Roberto Gonzalez advocates a pilot program, with four portable classrooms on order and Title 1 staff funding. If funded, staff development and early literacy initiatives will speed adoption.
