Medina asked for AeA to M-2 light manufacturing zoning for Solfia Concrete. commissioners debated dust and noise as a nuisance. Medina intends M-2 to cover the business, with a conditional revert to RA if sold or ceased.

A Taos County Sheriff’s patrol car collided with another vehicle near Garcia Funeral Home on Paseo del Pueblo Sur Friday May 29. Four people including four passengers suffered minor injuries and Ronald Tapia 21 was cited for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.

Judge Joseph Caldwell revoked probation for Lieved Garcia of Taos Joseph Concha of Taos Pueblo and Raymond Cortes of Ranchos. Cortes must serve 90 days with weekend jail time after an Oct 1979 aggravated assault conviction. Garcia and Concha received suspended sentences. Spruce Budworm Spraying Planned East of Taos in June
Spraying of non-toxic Bacillus thuringiensis will begin around June 12 on about 12 000 acres of spruce forests east of Taos.
