Taos plans to hire seven new employees across departments and add two police officers to cover annexed areas raising the general fund toward last year’s 2.4 million forecast. The 1981 82 budget estimates total about 2.2 million with water and sewer expenses.

Richard D. Hendren and Pilar Hendren face two counts of state tax evasion after a district judge bound them for trial.
