Visitors are urged to linger at Chaco Culture National Historical Park to explore great houses such as Pueblo Bonito Una Vida Perhasco Blanco Hungo Pavi Chetro Kel and Pueblo Alto and to venture beyond the main path via backcountry trails for Kin Kletso Pueblo Alto and a view of a 1064 supernova pictograph. The park sits in San Juan County New Mexico with backcountry permits free and per-vehicle entrance fees of eight dollars.
