Health Children clinic may close in August

Taos News reports Taos Clinic for Children and Youth may shut down by Aug. 31 if owners Dr Loretta Ortiz y Pino and Dr Sylvia Villareal cannot find a solution. The practice serves Northern New Mexico and southern Colorado, with 15 000 to 16 000 active files. The doctors refuse to limit Medicaid patients and seek a state collaborative model to maintain care for all kids.
