The Taos News reports that objections to the plan for selling the Plaza de Retiro continuing care facility have been dropped in U.S. Bankruptcy Court. Colinas Healthcare of Austin, Texas, aims to close a 3.2 million dollar deal by March, paying secured creditors and placing Colinas president Paul Gray in day to day control during the transition. Gray plans a 1 million dollar upfront investment for landscaping, cleaning, and converting Brandenburg House into a quasi clubhouse with theatre and spa. He runs six Texas nursing care facilities and operates another continuing-care site.
