Ojo cemetery seeks free dirt for expansion
St Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Ojo Caliente aims to give away several thousand cubic yards of dirt from a one acre hillside across from the post office. Caretaker Patrick Vigil says dirt will flatten the hillside to expand the cemetery and some dirt will stabilize the arroyo. Estimated project cost could exceed 250000 if contracted.
