Plane crash near Ski Valley in Taos kills two pilots
Officials say a small plane disappeared into a hillside above Taos Ski Valley after failing to gain altitude. The crash near a 50 to 60 degree slope left pilots Quintana and Chism dead on impact. NTSB will conduct a full teardown and review maintenance, logs, and engine condition. Winds near the peak were gusty, complicating search operations.
