Convicted pedophile recaptured near Rochester

Patrick Distaffen a 39 year old sex offender convicted of sodomy with an 11 year old was recaptured Thursday at Rosato Hotel Lyndonville about 40 miles from Rochester by Monroe County sheriff's deputies following an anonymous tip. He had been on the run for nearly four months after escaping a supervised Fourth of July weekend at his parents home despite a $30 000 bail and private security watching him.
