Syracuse Society Burglar Strikes Dundons Home

A Syracuse couple, Mr. and Mrs. Richard W. Dundon, report a high end burglary at 183 Bennington Dr while they attended a New York dinner honoring Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip. About $1 200 in valuables vanished including a West German Exakta camera and lenses, jewelry, cash, and silver. Police say a recurring city burglar targeted prominent residents over recent weeks.

Burglary Foiled at Local 320 Club by Janitor

A janitor surprised two intruders trying to crack the Local 320 Club safe on Old Liverpool Road. The suspects fled in a light colored convertible toward Syracuse as police set a wide cordon and questioned many vehicles before releasing most. A suspect remains in custody.
