Weather outlook with accumulating snow through weekend

Good evening Morrow. High 34 with 1 to 3 inches more snow. Saturday will be cold with 1 to 3 inches of snow, low 26. Sunday turns slushy and cold with snow, high 32, low 20. Monday cloudy, windy and cold with flurries, high 38, low 22. Tuesday breezy with clouds and some sunshine, high 42, low 26.

Snowy Day Closes Schools Across Central New York

A heavy wet snowstorm across Syracuse and Onondaga County shuts schools in multiple counties including Oswego, Madison, Cayuga. By 7 am 5.1 inches had fallen at Hancock Airport. Roads are icy and traffic slowed, with minor injuries reported. The Christmas tree installation in Clinton Square is postponed.

Weather winds down through weekend, NWS says

USN arms inspectors reach Bahrain after Iraq pullout

New diploma rules raise bar for high school graduation

New York state moves to raise graduation standards with the class of 2005 and beyond facing three years each of math and science and five college prep exams. Credits rise from 20.5 to 22, core curriculum tightens, second language required, and parenting taught while the competency diploma is phased out.
