Liverpool Central School seniors will hold a two day scrap drive Friday and Saturday to raise funds for a Washington class trip. Trucks donated by residents and the village will be used with students loading and driving. Senior advisers Palmieri and Maier announced student rotations and door to door pickups.

Field Trip to D C by Syracuse Landscape Seniors
Three Syracuse seniors in landscape architecture at SUNY College of Forestry spent a week in Virginia and the District of Columbia on a field trip. They studied planning and operation of the National Capital Parks system visiting Mount Vernon Washington Monument and the National Museum while applying insights to senior design projects. Accompanied by Professors Albrecht and Williams the auto trip allowed visits to many developments and discussions with authorities. Local students listed include Richard J. Alexander, Edmond C. Swan Pond Formally Deeded to Manlius
The Swan Pond at Chenery Pond in Manlius was formally deeded to the town by S. Cheney & Son and transferred to Mayor James H. L. Couden after stockholder approval. The pond will be cared for by the Manlius Fayetteville Rod and Gun Club with local officials coordinating improvements.
