Madison County Fair canceled after poor attendance
Madison County Fair in Brookfield canceled after four days with attendance far below prior years. Organizers cited heat rain and a power outage that shut rides plus lack of midway companies willing to contract. The board blames location staffing and declining farm participation for the drop. Local residents lament the loss and plan next steps.
