In Crosby Texas a second tornado hit 11 hours after an early morning twister, killing a woman and destroying most mobile homes. Park owner Pat Chapman said 18 of 23 mobiles were leveled. residents described scrambling to evacuate as debris wrecked trailers and trees turned to missiles.

Syracuse police probe into the death of Patricia Barbara Kilbourne a 47 year old Seymour Street resident continued after her body was found in her basement apartment. Autopsy scheduled to determine cause while city police treated it as an apparent homicide with signs of violence noted at the scene. Deputy Chief Haumann did not provide details. Charles Lanning the building superintendent found Kilbourne after social services called about her missing check. The victim lived alone and was nude from the waist down.
