Sandy Duncan Soars Like Tinker Bell in Peter Pan Flight
Boston Globe reporter Kevin Kelly details Sandy Duncan’s flying as the airborne Tinker Bell in the Broadway Peter Pan. Duncan, who has vision in one eye, flies about 30 feet above the audience with a 55 foot rope system controlled by Garry Foy. She describes fear during the audience flight yet credits the flight crew and rigging, while noting she has never had a real accident in 557 Broadway performances.
