Two Children Rescued After Near West Side Fire

Two children aged 4 and 5 were rescued from a wood frame house at 464 Shennard St on the Near West Side after a blaze. Firefighters found them unresponsive on arrival, performed on scene resuscitation, and transported them to Upstate Medical Center. their mother and father were treated for smoke inhalation at a different hospital.
