Police and corrections officers hunted three convicted murderers who escaped from the Elmira State Prison. Robert Lewis Keith Hart and Kenneth Rieman were missing after cutting bars with hacksaw blades. Lewis and Rieman had faced charges from Hancock and Charlotte Rivenburgh’s 1979 murder. Hart killed a man during a Brooklyn robbery.
Albany AP reports the nightly draw produced the winning number 973 for the daily numbers game and the Win Four result 3459. The report notes the numbers as the latest state lottery results.
