Cayuga fears more prisoners crowd Moravia facility
Corrections officers at Cayuga Corrections Facility in Moravia warn that relocating 300 inmates to the crowded prison could trigger a wave of issues. Commissioner Thomas Coughlin met with prison superintendents in Albany as Moravia and nine other medium security sites brace to house the new inmates starting next week. The state plans to nearly double each prison’s population, officials said.
