The Democratic Platform Committee rejected Jesse Jacksons push to end runoff primaries and approved a Mondale Hart dominated platform seen as stable. Mondales delegate Michael Barnes praised the document while Hart ally Timothy Wirth hailed the process. Jacksons camp vows to push the issue at the National Convention amid unity rhetoric and disputes over campaign finance and foreign policy clauses.

She received another quarter to restart, while Don Meredith and Hope Lange prepare for Santa Fe Festival Theater roles. Killington ski area ended its season on the first day of summer after a long, snowy year aided by extensive man-made snow, with 30 feet stockpiled and computer-run guns operating around the clock.
