A blast at Clinchfield Coal Co. McClure No.1 mine in Dickenson County killed seven miners including a woman and a man three days from retirement and injured three others. About 84 miners were underground at 10 15 p m. 74 surfaced uninjured. Ten workers were in the accident area. three survivors with burns were hospitalized.
