Man Rescued From Jamesville Reservoir Improves
ARNOLD SHIKEN, 47, of 306 Burnet, is in good condition at Onondaga General Hospital after a rescue at Jamesville reservoir yesterday afternoon. Firefighter Jack Sheedy and water watchers aided, with an inhalator, after spectators pulled Seiken from the water as he struggled with cramps. Seiken, a strong swimmer, had a heart ailment and his cries for help went unanswered before he was recovered. Officials cite need for lifeguards and safety measures as hundreds used the beach yesterday.
