Fire kills four aged patients at Shenandoah Home Roanoke
A blaze at Shenandoah Homes in Roanoke Va began around 2 15 am and authorities suspect smoking in bed started the fire. Four elderly residents died and at least 24 were injured as firefighters and nurses evacuated residents from the six story facility. The Roanoke Red Cross sheltered more than 80 residents while investigators determine exact causes and damages.
