Professor Williams challenges IQ tests bias against minorities
Dr. Robert L. Williams, now a psychology and black studies professor at Washington University, recounts being labeled dull-normal in high school and explains how his experiences spurred him to critique tests that discriminate against blacks, Asian Americans, Mexican Americans, and American Indians. He developed a biased-free test, shifted to employment testing, and notes interest from congressmen and cities like Milwaukee to reform police and fire department exams.
