Aggressive African killer bees threaten U S reach
UPI reports millions of African killer bees advance north across South America from Brazil and Argentina. They have killed about 200 people and thousands of animals, with fatalities rising as they spread toward Mexico and the Southern United States. Flights of 200 miles a year project arrival within seven to ten years. The bees are more productive and aggressive, resulting from a 1957 escape of 26 African queen bees in Brazil.
