Drug gang with heavy firepower targets Syracuse South Side
Police report a Jamaican-style drug gang moved into Syracuse South Side around South Salina Street and West Brighton Avenue threatening the cocaine trade. Seven to ten men from Ony Island and New York City used rental cars, surveillance, and Uzis plus carbines seized at Kirk Avenue and Houston Avenue. Local officers say the firearms and vials suggest a well funded setup with strong violence potential.
