Three ANC guerrillas hanged at Pretoria dawn
In Pretoria, three African National Congress guerrillas aged 23 to 27 were hanged at dawn for treason and murder tied to attacks on police stations between 1979 and 1981. A white and a black man were also executed on the same day. Church bells rang in Soweto as authorities confirmed the executions.
