Variable conditions dominate as several fast moving systems sweep Central New York. A warm front nudges highs near 80 this afternoon followed by a cold front with rain and cooler temps tonight. TEL AVIV Israel AP Israeli warplanes in a bold strike deep in Arab territory destroyed the almost completed Iraqi nuclear reactor outside Baghdad yesterday. The action was announced by the Israeli military. Iraqi authorities gave no immediate confirmation. A Jordanian official in Amman quoted the Iraqi News Agency saying Israeli planes bombed vital targets in Iraq. The French built 70 megawatt reactor was to be finished this summer and its enriched uranium fuel could be used for weapons. The reason for the strike was not explained.
