Oil firms gain as MMT ban suspension raises gas prices
Syracuse consumer director Toonne Schulthots warns that DOE and EPA decisions delaying the MMT ban enforcement will cost consumers over 300000 dollars daily in higher unleaded gasoline prices and deliver oil companies more than 30 million dollars in windfall profits from July to October. She calls for congressional scrutiny and has alerted Representative James M. Hanley.

State probes sham on get rich letter
Albany Attorney General Robert Abrams called the Circle of Gold a fraud and opened an investigation after undercover agents attended meetings. Twelve promoters were temporarily restrained and ordered to show cause in state Supreme Court why they should not be barred from further Circle of Gold activities or other securities dealings. Abrams cited General Business Law section 359 fff and noted the scheme claims an impossible infinite investor pool. The papers say that for three cycles, 25 billion people would have to buy the letter.
