Wilson Donates 500 for Camp Scholarships

Adelbert M. Northrup announces John D. Wilson is contributing 500 to the Campership Fund of the Council of Social Agencies. The gift funds camp scholarships for children whose families cannot afford fees, with 87 youngsters aided last year.

Safe Driving Awards For Eastern Ambulance Drivers

Six Eastern Ambulance drivers with 110000 miles of safe driving over 20 years received Safe Driving Awards from the company insuring their vehicles. Joseph Sonne, Eastern’s general manager, said the drivers averaged over 100 miles daily for 23,000 trips with only four accidents since January 2, 1954. Raymond Brooks of American Surety Co presented the awards.
