Full Car Supply Seen Long Way Off
In Syracuse, officials say new car supply remains far from meeting demand. Stuart Ballard of the Syracuse Automobile Dealers Association notes dealers have orders two times their expected factory shipments for the remainder of the year. A dealers survey shows over 300,000 orders, but retailers have fulfilled only three of ten orders since production resumed in July 1945, highlighting criticism of postwar auto output.

Three Syracuse Homes Named Ideal for Central NY Exposition
Syracuse architects and Herald-Journal select three near wartime homes as ideal for the Central New York area. Large photographs and floor plans will highlight Syracuse Savings Bank’s exhibit at the Better Homes Exposition June 7 to 14. The homes are real, landscaped, occupied examples, not listings for sale. LIFE GUARD TESTS for men and women applicants will be conducted at 7 30 PM Wednesday by the YWCA and City Recreation Department.
